Fixie

So I wanted to get a fixie so suddenly. This one evening after I picked up my sister from school, I went to a bike store on a whim.  Well actually, I was bored and I wanted to do something fun & potentially dangerous.

I told Eddie about it,  and brought him to the bike store.  He said to hold it off and see some other options. So, we got home,  and he he got excited (like he always does) and did a night’s research on fixie and racing bikes. Racing bikes are way cooler, but I’m not gonna spend 1.3k (thats cheapest, expensive ones can reach more than 10k)  for something I’m not sure of.  Hence, a fixie. Plus, I wanted it because I need a fun way to burn off some calories.

Look! So pwettyyyy *insert googly eyes here*

fixie

We bought it at CMS Bike store in Seksyen 25, Shah Alam. Very nice owner. So I was happy to buy from him. Anyway, we got home and straightaway tested the bike. and guess what? I freaking FELL on my first attempt, and I didn’t even get to cycle it! HAHA! I rode every day for a year in Melbourne, and I fell on this one. Like whaaaaat.  It was a pretty hard fall, because my strappy sandle (in picture) got tangled with the pedal strap so I wasn’t able to support myself as I fell.

Yep, big mistake.

After that, I switched to my shoes and tested it down the hill and back up. Man, going uphill was HARD. I could barely catch my breath as I reached home! Maybe I should practice on flat land for now. Plus, I need to learn the proper technique to stop the bike. So far, I’m glad I got it. No, it’s not because of the pretty colours. Or hip or poyo with my fixie. No. I’m sure I’ll be getting quite a workout from this. Maybe I won’t be as awesome as those fixie nerds but atleast I’ll have some fun. I hope.

Ok, fine, I’ll be honest. It’s because of the pretty colours. hahaha :p

Surely I didn’t get my mum’s approval for this.  Don’t even know how to face her, she gave me a cold shoulder just now. The difference between us are like heaven & hell. I’m always thirsty for some adventures and she AVOIDS them. but  oh well, she’ll come around.  😉
