Types of Guys and the Ones I’d Date
I know, I’ve been writing some bimbo posts lately. But to my surprise, those bimbo posts received good amount of comments. So, maybe I’ll do more posts with pictures of me shopping, hanging out, partying, partying and partying. :)
This piece of comment inspired me to write this post. but before I say further, let’s take a look at the definitions.
Metrosexual
This modern type of man is stereotypically seen among gay men. Famous example for this type of man is David Beckham.

A meterosexual guy is up-to-date with fashion trends, spends more time on his hair, owns collections of eu de parfums, eu de toilette and ranges of colognes and body sprays. In other words, he is the guy who enjoys shopping as much as girls do, wear lip balms, unafraid to wear pink, invest in good hair products, get hair cuts at the saloon, go to gyms, he has, at least, heard of Bobbi Brown, Shu Emura and Benefit -and know what they are. But this type of man is not necessarily gay or sissy. He might bitch around, tho.
Normal Guys
These are the traditional masculine guys. They spend more time thinking, beautifying their thoughts then spending the time in front of the mirror, admiring their hair. They don’t shop like girls; they go to the shopping mall, get the stuffs they need and go home. Some are clueless about girls, or at least insensitive about girls’ emotions and feelings due to the fact that they spend more time with their guy friends. They eat and breathe football (some metrosexual guys do, but not as fanatic as these guys) and they look at lip balms like some kind of fungus. They probably have never heard of manicure and pedicure but when they do, they thought it might be some kind of medications for certain diseases. They spend more time playing PS3 or PSP than window shopping which is something that they have never done. They practically make love with cars. They wear the first shirt they grabbed from their wardrobes. In some cases, they are too proud to put on their deodorants. (Stink people alert!) They have the traditional manly qualities such as confidence, strength and class.
Then, there’s another term: ubersexual.
Ubersexual
Ubersexual are similar to straight metrosexuals but they still have those traditional manly qualities. They are confident, they get their tips from traveling and interests in art and culture instead of Guchi’s designers. They do some gay stuffs such as getting a hair cut at a chick’s place or get some manicure or go to the spa but that’s just because they like it. Overall, they are just the same as the traditional guys when it comes to how they carry themselves but they have something that traditional men don’t have; the positive female traits such as nurturance, communicative and co-operation. In short, they are the normal guys, only a little bit metrosexual.
A celebrity example of this type of men is: Pierce Brosnan
So now you know what metrosexual and ubersexual are. Well, they are based on my research, some articles that I’ve read and my own views. You probably have a different view about the definitions. So now, I’m going to show you some of the guys I know and which category they belong to. :)
1. Fadhli (a friend)
Fadhli.
An ubersexual. He spends quite a lot of time on his hair. When Everytime he goes out with me, he often ask me about his hair and his look.
“How’s my hair? OMG! It’s messy, isn’t?” *combs his hair*
“OMG! I haven’t shaved, I look so hideous! 
”
“what? 
it’s my hair, isn’t it?”
“Do you think I look better with my goatee or without it?”
“wait, I need to put on my lip balm”
haha. Fad, you are so cute.
He loves shopping too, after he had a shopping trip with me and he said that I’ve brought shopping to a whole new level for him. yeah, right. 
He makes a very good shopping partner. I mean, he’s not like other guys who’s the only word that ever come out when asked is “uh-huh.” He gives brilliant and honest opinion. 
Me: What do you think of these jeans? Do they make my ass look big?
Fad: Hmm… they look great on you. but… it’s a little bit too tight, don’t you think?
Me: So, it makes my ass look big?
Fad: hmm…
Me: yes, they do make my ass look big… *sigh*
Fad: no, they don’t make your ass look big. looks great.
Me: the ass or the jeans?
Fad: …
Other times, he is just like the normal guys. He goes to gigs, chilling out with his friends, watch football games (tho he’s not a hardcore fanatic) and plays the PS3.
2. My dad
My Dad
This is definitely, definitely a case of a normal guy. He stays up watching sports, be it football, golf or badminton. He doesn’t wear deodorant, even after my mum got him one (but he wears perfumes, tho and has lots of it). He doesn’t understand women. He is insensitive about female’s feelings. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care. He dress for comfort, he can’t stand the long hours of shopping, unless if it’s for him. Definitely a normal guy.
Some other guys I know that are normal:
Syafiq and Usop. both are my classmates
This one time, Azima and I went shopping with them, it was a week before the school prom. (no, we didn’t go the prom with them)
Syafiq and Usop : Got everything you need?
Azima and I : Oh. we got our shoes! *jumps*
(then we excitedly showed them our newly bought shoes)
Azima and I: aren’t they gorgeous?
Syafiq and Usop: uh-huh. (they didn’t even look!) so when will you girls done?
Azima and I : After we found our perfect clutches!
Syafiq and Usop: … what’s a clutch?
Azima and I: OMG?! *faint*
In case if you don’t know what a clutch is, it’s a small fancy purse seen on woman at formal functions. Also known as dinner bag.
3. Hazwan (a schoolmate)
He is a metrosexual. Although he is lacking of masculinity and has more feminine qualities, he is not a sissy. He, somehow does not have that ‘macho’ factor (sorry hazwan!) but that’s just him. (Look at Beckham!) He just loves designer brands -and afford them. He has a lot of friends, both guys and girls. I’m not sure if he is obsessed with his hair or looks but he does like to look good all the time. Everything he own has to be of designer’s label. He loves shopping and keeps himself up-to-date with the current fashion trends and celebrities. I don’t know a lot about him because I haven’t seen him in a while but one thing for sure, he bitches around. Don’t get started on him, but all the things he say is darn true. A witty, wicked minded guy. And oh, he is filthy rich but still down to earth. kudos to him!
So?
I think every one is unique and each type of guy has his own advantage and weakness. The ubersexual sounds perfect, though but let’s face it, nobody is perfect. Well, all this ‘analysis’ about the normal guys, metrosexuals and ubersexuals is making me baffled. *sigh*
Aisyah is figuring out the male species while chewing her fries. (I know, I look ugly) 
Every guy makes a good friend but the ubersexual, while he can be a good friend, he is a good boyfriend material. So, the type of guy that I’d date is, *drum rolls* the ubersexual guys. Seriously, I have no problem if he has to put on his lip balm, or we ended going out too matchy-matchy because he, too was wearing a pink coloured shirt, or watching a romantic movie because HE wanted to. 
Hey, don’t assume that all girls would date the same type of guy. So, to normal guys and metrosexual guys out there, just be who you are, no need to change yourself just because I said I’d date an ubersexual guy. LOL!
So, you have heard my views on types of guys. If you are a guy, which category do you belong to? and, I’d love to hear your opinion on this. And If you are a girl, I’d like to know which guy that you’d go for. hehe.
ps. Everyone is blogging about the recent general election except me. Does that mean I don’t love my country? Of course I do, but I can’t be bothered to blog about the politics. :p

i care much about my hair (great hair=great confidence. “yeah right” haha) Very choosy when it comes to shirts and shoes, not as in brands, but the looks and design. I spend the whole day when i decided to go shopping. But perfume? well, not much. Spa & treatment? never mind :)

Wow.. This is such an interesting post!
Now only I know that there is such thing as ubersexual. Before this, I’ve only heard about metrosexual..and of course normal guys. I would say my bf is between normal and ubersexual. He never cares about manicure, wears lip balm or goes to spa but he sometimes wears pink t-shirt and he watches romantic movies too.. 
And I think he does wear deodorant.

that being said, I am an UTTER SEXUAL. Its a combination of all 3.
I hate shopping with girls because they will only look at their stuff, and would go uh-huh when it comes to mine. Is it fair that way?

actually men aren’t that simple to categorize..they are like a bowl of soup, made to taste different every time..
each men with their own amount of spice and ingredients.
for me,i enjoy shopping with girls, they say i have great sense of taste..haha..(THEY say k) but i avoid pink for myself and no to lip balm..things like that..
but i still like your post very much..

okok Just boyfriends. but I’d take it as boy-friends.
2 different timing to shop is good idea, but I’d be wasting lotsa time. Walking endlessly, I rather sit at home than pay for expensive parking fees and petrol.
Having read twice, Im dead sure, most of my friends is also UTTERsexual. Hahaha

You sure did your research on the different types of men! wow. Would have to say that my type of guy doesnt really match any of those though. My guy is pretty much normal but at the same time he is ubersexual! lol. He is his own classification!

i spent a lot on my hair.
haha choosy on design and looks.
but i do feel more confidence when I’m wearing branded stuff.
i do loves perfume.but I’m not buying perfume.only take it from my dad.

bobby who? haha. i guess i’m normal, tho maybe not much masculine. my money is only for my PC, there isn’t much left for fashion. but since i grew up with my sisters, they teached how to accompany a girl doing 4-hours shopping just to look for one freakin pair of shoe.
my shirts, if not taken from my sister’s cupboard, comes from the kids department.

A lot of people in my school are just normal guys. Few are metrosexual but none of them is an ubersexual type. My Uncle is a metrosexual, based on what I observe, that’s why we really get along. :)

bleh.. well i really want wordpress, but my stupid hosting with 1and1 wont allow me to have one unless i pay an extra £4 a month!
