“Look at that ass, nice.”

Warning: This post may offend ugly people.

I was walking with my mum to the car from The One Academy then a small lorry with loads of gas passed by us. Then we met a junction, so did the the lorry and the lorry stopped. At some point, my mum and I were very close to the lorry. Then, the lorry driver said, “Look at that ass… nice.”

OMG. I was so pissed. He was looking at me like some kind of sex object! How can I take that as a compliment? It was rude and disgusting. He was old, ugly and a labor. With such bad manner, no wonder he was working as a buffalo. Now, don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing wrong having such jobs as long as you are not a fraud, thief or even a robber. But, for the love of god, have some respects! Those kind of people don’t go anywhere, I’m telling you.

If that came out from someone who’s young, rich and good looking, then it might be a different story. He might sound pervertish but it won’t be a disgusting situation.

Usually, I just ignore those STUPID people freaks. But just now, I don’t know why I was so pissed (I think I do, because I just made my mum feel insecure about my safety). Can’t he see my mum was right beside me?? If he can’t respect me, he should at least, respect my mum. I blurted out the word FUCK out loud and gave him a stare. My oh-so-famous fierce stare. Now, my mum was blaming me for the way I dressed. For god’s sake, I was wearing the most polite clothes! Man, if I wasn’t holding some stuffs, I would have give him some piece of me.

I used to think that ALL guys are perverts. Us girls always being harassed. Whenever we are walking, some (or most) of the guys would wink, whistle or/and say some unbelievably lame and stupid pick up lines. Most of them are pathetically ugly especially when accompanied by such pathetic lines. Some of the lame and most heard lines are:

“I think I’ve seen you somewhere”

“you are so cute. rawr.”

“hi….,” with the ugliest grin and gross teeth
(not exactly a lame line. but the ugly grin is definitely a turn off)

boleh kenal?
if translated literally, can I know you

sorang je ke?
are you alone?

See how pathetic these lines are? Pathetic people. It’s embarrassing and sad for them to be desperately wanting to get some girls. It’s not my fault that they don’t have a girlfriend, so can’t they just leave us girls alone? Before you say that they were just trying to be friendly (which I know they weren’t), I can definitely tell if they were trying to be friendly. These are pigs I’m talking about. Oh, I’m sorry if you feel offended because if you do, you might be one them.

I said I used to think ALL guys are like that. Now, I think that only some guys are like pigs, thanks to Fad. This one day, I went out with him and as soon as we stepped into the mall, he remembered that he left the parking ticket in the car and let me wait in the mall while he get the parking ticket. When he came back, he said,

Fad: hey, are you alone? ;)
Me: No, I’m with my bodyguards. haha
Fad: haha.
Me: Hey, have you ever actually did that?
Fad: me? pfft! No! I’m not that kind of guy.
Me: oh? good. *relieved*
Fad:I don’t need to say some lame pick up lines. I just snap my fingers and say, “hey, you! wanna go out?”.
Me:

Okay, so guys already know that some of them are pigs (like we girls know some of us are whores). I heard somewhere that these pigs are just trying to test their ‘market’. H-E-L-L-O! Have they even heard of mirror? It’s a piece of glass where you can see a reflection of yourself. You are ugly and that’s it. Your life is over. No, no, no, I’m not saying that only beautiful people get partners, I’m saying that ugly faces and lame lines are not doing it. Wait, even good looking guys with lame lines are rejected. So, my point is, have some respect and good manners! A sincere smile would be nice.

Ok, fine. Winks are okay. ONLY if you are good looking! Unless, if you are winking to people you already know, of course. I know, I may sound shallow here but let’s face it. That’s the fucking truth. If you are old, bald, fat and ugly. T_T No girls (or guys) will turn their heads to you when you wink. Seriously. They might even throw up on the spot. :)) Honestly, when you are good looking, you will pretty much have a good life. You can at least be a model or something. But if you are ugly… man, you better be good at something because if you are ugly AND stupid… good luck.

Now, you can say that I am mean. But really, I’m just saying the truth. :)

being a guy myself, i have to say that its safer to assume all guys are pigs until proven wrong. i didn’t know that there were such desperate guys out there till it happened to my cousin. not once but many times. the worse one came and ask ‘how much’. She swung the bag at him. If it wasn’t for the kfc, she’d hit him out cold.

wearing loose clothes might be safer.. i think.

LOL. that’s ok if you just look. just dont say anything, unless if you are just being friendly. but sadly, it’s not the culture of us Malaysians to be very friendly to strangers. I can do that but it’s frustrating to see when I dont get positive response. but so far, I mostly get good responses, like when I jog in the evening and say ‘hi’ and smile to others. hehe.

NEVER? come on, not even once? and I hate the most when it happens on the train because we are stuck there together with that guy and if we got off, someone would take over the seat.

Frankly, maybe some girls feel triumph or whatever when guys try to flirt using that pick up line, but i hate it so much. sometimes i felt like, ‘just let me alone!’. most of the time, i prefer to be at home because i felt insecure out there. i always had a feeling of being stare.. so annoying! :(

Guys, first things first, IOI = indication of interest. If she’s not interested, move on. If no one is ever interested, go do plastic surgery. Else just pray to God you’ll be blessed with a girl. ok?

  21. Shen April 1st, 2008 at 1:24 am

Oh my goodness. This happens to me all the time. I think it’s quite rude when you’re with your parents, especially my Dad. It seems as though these guys or should i say men have no respect whatsoever. Saturday, I was out shopping, this guy who’s probably 40 years old that’s not even attractive keeps talking to me that I’m nice and I must smile more often. Ugh. I felt like punching him. Have some respect people, if not for me for my mother who was walking besides me.

These guys are so pathetic and I’m sure they end up to be loners for the rest of their lives. As for clothing, I’m Muslim so I’m pretty much covered up, I’m not half naked.

    @aisyah
You can’t 100% blame that guy. I’m not telling you that it’s ok to be rude but hey, he’s just a lorry driver. His life is totally different than yours. Maybe he came from a poor family and not motivated enough to learn during his childhood and end up being a lorry driver at the age of 21. Life sucks. :-o

Beauty is an art. So do ass. If you think positively (I mean negative of the negative), you should be proud of yourself. Not all girls are pretty and have beautiful ass. However, being proud doesn’t mean that you have to strip your clothes and show off your body to every single guy you can find in your neighborhood.

The problem with mirror is, it doesn’t show your true image. It’s flipped.

    Yes I am a freak.

    [Reply]

  23. Aisyah April 1st, 2008 at 1:45 am

I wasn’t blaming him 100%, but with the right qualities, anyone can be a success. and by saying success, I’m not talking about being a millionaire but a more well-paid job than just a labour.

If it came from someone you know, or of the same gender, then it’s a compliment. But being seen as somekind of a sex symbol, is not good. it’s a harassment.

yes, mirror doesn’t show your true image. but it does show how people look at you, physically. (in other words, flipped)

Still pretty sick though. I mean, you were with your mum, its not like it wasnt obvious the massive age gap between him and you! Your right, he could have shown some respect, ‘cos men who dont show respect, arent worth bothering with are they? And they just gotta learn that right?!

Well you know, some females do encourage it with the clothing they wear and how they carry themselves. I know when my friend and I would go for walks in the summer, she’d wear short skirts and clothing that were showing her goods haha, an well lots of guys would slow down and say hi and stuff, because of her. So it all depends. I know what you mean though. Some people just don’t have respect, and then to say that infront of your mom that’s just disgusting. And I would be pretty pissed too, even if my mom was there, but my mom being there, that does tell her something about your safety and because of her pervertness, you are like on lock down. Blah. I don’t even know. I tend not to associate with people anymore lol, I just leave or just change the subject if I am at work.

Urgh! Stuff this like would most likely to happen to any girl! I seriously feel sorry for those guys. It’s just so damn pathetic. :yuck: Some of them even make use of salam. Like, they would say “Assalamualaikum.. Tak jawab dosa!” Huh? It’s so annoying! If you reply, then people will think you’re gatal or something. But if you don’t, berdosa plak. Aiya. I also face this kind of situation right here in Jakarta. My friends too anyway. The thing is, most Indonesian Muslims don’t wear hijab (I hardly find anyone wear hijab while strolling around the malls, and even in my campus) so every time people see us Malaysian Malays passing by, they would definitely give salam to us. And what makes me annoyed even more is that since they know we are Malaysians, they will definitely tease our language. Damn! Like, Malaysia is pronounced as Malaysieeeee.. (they emphasize the vocal “e” way too much!) For god’s sake! Not every word ends with vocal “a” is needed to pronounced as “e” (saya=saye).

    Assalamu alaykum,

Judging from your name, its highly likely you are muslim. I just wanna say, please wear hijab. Its my advise and an instruction from your creator and you prophet. Its obligatory no doubt, whether your heart is sincere towards it or not. Hijab doesn’t just mean tudung, but modesty, meaning wearing loose clothing, not transparent and most of modest behaviour so that man will not look at you in a sexual way. If you do this, then you’ll filtering off the trash among guys and getting the ones who can treat you like a women not because of your appearance.

Please vote at my blog farihinfong.blogspot.com

Also, your English is excellent, (I’ve checked out your blog) and not many ustaz in Malaysia can speak English very well. Truth to be told, I’ve started to wear hijab just recently and I hope I’ll continue wearing it. amin. :)
