the. gig. was. fun. uyeeh.
Yesterday I went to Rockestra gig. It was fun. But I didn’t stay to the end, though. Cause my friend had to get back home before 8pm. Ah, never mind. I needed to get home early too, to celebrate the Mother’s day. The gig started at 2pm, but since I went to bed at 5am the night before, I woke up at 1.15pm. My phone was turned off and when I turned it on, I got a message from Maxis, saying that I had like, 15 missed calls from my friend.
When I called them (or, was it them who called me?) they thought that we were not going and Aiman was already going to go back to bed until Amirah called him to tell him to get ready. 
So, at around 2.30 pm, we, Aiman, Amirah and I went to MCPA hall, KL. The good news is that, we didn’t get lost. 
I’d never really drive to KL, before. Well, I did, but it’s the Bangsar area. This area is much more confusing. The fact that I don’t have a good sense direction doesn’t help at all.
So, we arrived there around 3, and god knows how hard it was to find a parking spot. I hate to risk my car being towed, therefore, I don’t like to park illegally (other than the fact that I suck at side parking ). Finally, we parked at a paid private parking area. It was near the MCPA hall, and there was a guard there, so it felt safe to park there. 
I love the acoustic performances. Some of acoustic performers were News at 11, Melastic Bintang and Matematik.
oh, both the vocalist and the guitarist are cute.

When Freelove performed, the crowds went crazy. Really!
And look! including me! LOL. These are candid shots. I didn’t realize that my picture was taken.

Not much pictures. But the gig was fun! I enjoyed it a lot. What’s the point of going to gigs if we don’t enjoy ourselves? Some other friends were there too. Naqib, Anap, Amirul, Atip and others, I don’t remember.

There were a lot more bands performed while we were there but I forgot who the bands were. Most of them are of really good bands and some were pretty fucked up well, not my taste of music like screamo. but, sometimes, head banging is fun.LOL. I still like acoustics, though. 
Lagu tido. haha. The great bands like Hujan, Couple, Butterfingers and Muck were going to perform from 7pm and above. but, unfortunately, we left early so we didn’t get the chance to watch them. 
yeah, I like indie music. 
At 7.15pm, it was really time for us to go. At first, it was 6, and then, 6.50, and then, 7, and finally, 7.15. We were so glued! LOL! Anyway, on the way back, we got lost. I think it’s because I missed a turn, and we (or shall I say, I) kept on driving until we got to Jalan Ipoh (Ipoh street). The area was so NOT familiar to all of us and I panicked, because I saw the street’s name “Ipoh” FYI. So, I asked Amirah to dial Fad’s number since KL is Fad’s area of expertise. And thank god, he answered. The conversation has been simplified to avoid you from yawning, or worse, fall unconscious.
Me: Fad~… I think I’m lost…
Fad: what? where are you?
Me: I don’t know… I’m at the Petronas now, Jalan Ipoh.
Fad: hmm…
Me: It’s not really in Ipoh…. right? :s
Fad: hahaha… no…
Me: oh. Thank god. hehe
Fad: Try to look for Kuching street.
Me: How am I going to find Kuching street? I have no idea. Is it that way or that way…? uh… 
Fad: I’m not really sure where you are…
Fad: Well, where is KLCC?
Me: it’s… far… very far… 
Fad: well, get near to it la
Me: hm… okay. I’ll try. Please keep your phone close, okay? I need you…
I really was talking as if I were a 3-year-old girl talking to her dad. *manja* haha Anyway, we made a u-turn and.. after a while, we found Kuching street! So, after that we just followed the signboard and found the Federal highway! So now I know, if I got lost in KL, just find the Kuching street. I’m glad that I’ve learnt something. :)
I think I’m beginning to like going to gigs as a single. There were a few guys who asked for my number. *brag alert!* I wonder, why didn’t this happen when I was actually up for it. Next time, I’ll definitely bring Azima with me.

FYI, Ipoh is the name of a totally another state and one of the way to get there is by passing KL, I think back to top

Gigs are really no longer my game. I used to jump around in a private gig in a squash court. minimal light, 100s in the court, everyone was kicking each other. It was fun!
I hate crowds nowadays. If I were to dress up, straw hat, red scarf and a few blings, people would look at me and say ‘poyo’, at least in their heart. I get that a lot when I go to pasar malam. Hahaha

What bothers me (well not really) is how younger people would be so good in designing albeit I’ve wasted 3 years of my life learning the many theories of designs.
