Miss Nina is married.
Now, let’s take a rest from “controversional” posts, shall we?
So today I went to my teacher’s wedding. It was the pretty Miss Nina’s wedding!
She’s my favourite English teacher (sorry, Mrs Erni and Mrs Rozayati!) She totally rocks! She taught my class when I was in form 3. I’m not sure if she’ll still be teaching in my school. Ex school.
Anyways, I went there with Diyana (Dee). We arrived there around 2.30pm, which was quite late but some of my friends just got there. So, we weren’t actually late but we missed Miss Nina’s sanding*. Her wedding was on the very same day as her brother and by the time we got there, it was her brother and his wife that was on the bridal dais.
So we went down and ate first. We ate at a table with some other friends. And it felt like we were still in school since some familiar faces of the school kids were there. LOL. After we were done eating and laughing (a lot!), we went searching for Miss Nina and found her! She looked so pretty!

From left: Asma, Azima, Miss Nina, Aisyah, Dee, Shlyn.
She got married to an army! But usually armies wear white for wedding. I don’t know. My mum said he is probably an officer or something. Correct me if I’m wrong. :)

I want those swords so I can play with them with Aida, can I?
This is the ceremony where the groom and the bride cut the cake. The armies pulled out the swords in the air while they cut the cake which was done in a slow motion because the photographers couldn’t keep up. :p The swords look cool, though. I wonder if they’ll use swords if this country ever be in war.

The groom was feeding the bride with the cake
Anyways, congratulations to Ms Mrs Nina!
I can’t believe she’s married. Actually, I can’t believe that it has been 3 years since I was in form 3. How time flies.

From left: Azima, Dee, Aisyah, Shlyn, Asma. (I look so ugly in this pic!)
Actually there were a lot more friends but I didn’t get the chance to take all of their pictures. should I?

Aisyah and Dee. Can’t girls be a little vain?
*now comes the pointless part*
After the wedding, Dee and I went to Subang Parade because we didn’t feel like going home yet. I actually wanted to find some particular books but couldn’t find it.
Not that I have the money to buy it right away but still…
and of course I didn’t wear baju kurung! I managed to change to my shirt and jeans while driving on the highway.

beware: I’m a very n00b driver
And I bought some Big Apple’s donuts!!!!
I love those donuts. We also bought some popiah and ate them on the side of the road in the car.
I actually wanted to post this by midnight but I fell asleep around 8pm right after I ate a plate of Kuey Teow (other than the donut and popiah earlier that evening) and I only woke up at 1:05am. Nice. Buncit dah perut ni.
Shit, now I can’t sleep for the rest of the night.
*end of pointless part*
Now that Miss Nina is married. Can I get married too? hahaha!
*sanding is where the groom and the bride sit together side by side on the dais to be watched and blessed by others. It’s a wedding culture among the Malays.
P.s, I didn’t change while I was driving on the highway. I changed before I drove from the wedding in the car and during red lights. LOL. Don’t try this.
p.p.s, buncit dah perut ni = my stomach is bulging already. eww!

aih…
not the typical ‘the-girl-got-married-to-an-army-dude’ punye ceremony kan?
i mean, i work in a studio gambar/photography and this definitely not the typical army wedding. hehe…
i agree, the bride usually opt for white rather than grey-ish gown like that. but things changed i guess… takkan semua wedding askar nk boring typical gituh. kan?
but the gown looks fab on her… well.. from a gay person perspective lah… ngee…
and aisyah… u tak nampak ugly la in that picture… you look innocent.. lalalala…

a missed oppoturnity..
but isn’t there is a back mirror..u looked!!
One thing that i like about malay weddings is the silat pengantin, ‘berbalas pantun’ session and definitely the time when the bride throw sweets at the guests.
but i guess weddings nowadays are more to formal style. guest come, wish, eat, take picture and go.. :(

Very nice what u hv here Aisyah, keep it up! BTW my youngest sis just married an army officer and yes they do wear white (called the No. 1 Dress). I think Ms Nina’s husband is in the air force. My father retired from the army 8 yrs ago and i’ve never seen him wear this uniform before..now he writes in Sunday Times every fortnightly..if he’s younger and have time to blog i’m sure he’ll be doing what u r doing too..! Tapi design mgkn tak secantik yours lahh kot..
And the pedang all real! Tak blh main2 tau..

Weee.. Congratulations to her..
The wedding looks awesome!
*dreaming of my own wedding* Haha.. :-P
LOL! You changed in your car? Well, I did once before but it wasn’t me driving the car. I sat at the back and that was a lot easier to hide myself rather than sitting in front. You know what I mean. Tee hee..
Oh, is that what I though? You wore that “help me” t-shirt, didn’t you? Hehe..

:) kalau kita pegi wedding org, mesti kita pon akan terasa nak kawin, kan?

Shandye: Shandye, usually armies’ wedding, they wear white because it’s their uniform. that’s why I was wondering why the uniforms are greenish. and oh, thanks. i look innocent? I accept that as a compliment, anyway.
Millie: hey, nice to have you here. oh? so he’s an air force? cool, still. and yes, the sword is real! I can kill someone with it!
Mira: haha. yeah, that’s the shirt. :p
Azrn: she taught my class when I was in form 3 but I still went to the same school and I was in softball team and she was in charge so yeah, we were close. LOL. rasa nak kahwin. hahaha.

I’ve never been to a teacher’s wedding. Maybe it’s because I dislike them all and I never had a good relationship with any.
Miss Nina looks beautiful, you and your friends as well. The pictures remind me of the traditional Muslim weddings we have here. (I’m Muslim)
I’ve changed my clothing in the car countless times. I’m sure no one saw me though. Hopefully. :-P

Hey Aisyah! Thanks for visiting my site.
The wedding looked great, your teaching is pretty. I’ve never really attended the wedding of my teacher- I never was that close to my teachers the way you seem to be to Miss Nina. Looked like you all had fun :)

Thanks for visiting my site Aisyah! What a beautiful wedding, and time does fly by fast. When I was younger I almost had the chance to go to one of my favorite teachers wedding, but I never had the chance to go because her wedding was out of town. You all look beautiful and your old teacher is also very beautiful. Glad you had fun. Now you can dream about the day you get married, what you want to have and all that beautiful stuff. Take care and I’ll be visiting you again. :)

Looks like most of you here don’t have that close relationship with your teacher. and thanks for those who say that all of us looked pretty.
Shen: oh, you are a Muslim too? cool.
Faye: yes, food is the best part. LOL.
Autumn Rain: awh, sorry that you couldnt attend your favourite teacher’s wedding. and, yeah, sort of. but I don’t really have beautiful imaginations about my own wedding. I only dream of a beautiful life with my future husband, which only god knows who. hehe.
