I was doing my design assignment, which is a collage (well, 5 pieces, actually T_T), so I had to flip though a few magazines to find some interesting images. The process took a hell lot of time since I seemed to be out of focus. As I was flipping though, I read almost all the interesting articles I came across as well. Anyways, it was until I found this piece of article, Don’t Cry, Get Even on Cleo June 2006 edition that sort of snapped me.

After months of grieving, sobbing, and swimming in the pool of tears I’ve shed every night (ok, maybe that’s too exaggerating), I’ve finally (read: FINALLY) came to realize that I needed to get up, wipe the dust off my hands and walk and dance. and I’m going to do it, now. This very NOW. In fact, I’ve subconsciously did that since quite a time ago.

No, I’m not going to launch a revenge plan, say, destroying his beloved equipments, or create some sort of a dramatic scene but I’m going to live my life to the fullest, be a success and get a much, much better guy.

I was watching the Chuck series just now, and when Bryce said, “because saying goodbye is the hardest thing,” it suddenly became clear. I think I understand now, so I’m going to leave it that way and move on.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. And so far, things are falling into place, and I’m thankful for that. Actually, I’m glad it happened [the break up thing] and, the truth is, my life has gotten better since. It seems like we are better off without each other.

I must admit, though, that Eddie, Ayumi and especially The Sexy Danial, helped a lot (haha!). Not that I cried in front of them or anything, but by exampling them (except maybe for Eddie, but he’s the one who kept my sorrow away. ). Ayumi’s words are inspiring and they kept playing over and over again in my head. And, Danial, he’s just tough (er… physically, too. hahaha ).

Also, I must not forget that friends keep me happy and occupied. Azima, Syad, Aiman, Amirah, Arif, Intan, Asma, Usop, Raffy, Fahtz, Elisa (er… who else, huh?) well, if I don’t mention your names here, you know who you are. And oh, my sisters, Arina and Aida too.

Last but not least, thanks to my lecturers who gave keep giving me (and my classmates) tons of assignments. THANK YOU! I’m so, so, so VERY GLAD!

probably ive been taught on this matter recently (in a management class).

the lecturer told me - yup, things just happen to us. the best way is to get physically+mentally prepared.

he gave me an example - “do you know what to do if you get fired even though u are damn smart?”

well, i might have been extend a bit from the real topic - it’s just a thought.apologies i bid.

dulu awak pernah tanya saya bagaimana nak ngorat ex-f. saya ada caranya tapi saya tak tulis sebab bagi saya awak terlalu muda. masih banyak lagi orang dan lelaki yang awak perlu kenal dan jumpa. masa tu awak akan sedar, kisah dulu adalah sekadar mewarnai hidup aja.

I seriously agree with your points. Sometimes, you’ll realize that the guy you thought that once he leave you, it’ll make your life miserable is what won’t happen. Its the other way around. He left you, and there. You got time for yourself. Which is good.

hey aisyah been a while since i drop my comments here. just to share my experience, i took almost 3 years to get over my ex tp trust me, its do able :)

it good how u could get urself together again after reading that cleo article. i mean, i remember reading tht article too tp it did nothing to my getting-over-him-mission.

finally tho, a great guy comes along and thts all it takes to sweep you off ur feet n forget the ex. blive me, such guys still exist :)

Yep, I believe that everything happens for a reason too, and that even though you may not have realized it then, but you realize it now how it’s better without them… But yeah… I know that feeling a little too well…. But anyways…

I’m glad that you’re finally over him! I know EXACTLY how that feels too!!! Hopefully he won’t come back into your life, though, because that’ll definitely complicate things…… =/

I’m glad that you’ve picked yourself up, alongside with the help from your friends! You know, not everyone have the courage to stand up again after a breakup, as well as have great friends around who care about you. Those friends are definitely keepers Aisyah!

If you’re looking for a way to seek revenge, be sure not to do it the ‘Emily‘ way - although it’s a hoax afterall, Emily was a girl who reportedly broke up with her boyfriend, hired private investigators to tail him, tore up his teddy bear and used money from their joint account for a slandering advertisement near his office :))
