Hey people, it has been ages since I last update my blog. Heck, it was just 2 days ago but everyone kept asking me to write a new post. (awwwh!) Anyway, I’ve been kidnapped by the one named Beezie. I was busy chatting with my friends online, hanging out and shopping. Is that what you call busy? LOL.
I have really weird relationship with shopping. I love shopping but I hate the fact that it’s burning my pocket. Yesterday, I went to Sunway Pyramid with Gary to look for a present for someone and I ended up doing some shopping for myself. I spent RM250 yesterday. Plus, RM50 for some CDs and a shirt last Friday night at Layar Tanchap event. So, I spent a total of RM300 in 2 days. Nice. And I just got the money from my parents on that Friday! Anyway, poor Gary, being slaved by me for my shopping needs. He said he didn’t mind being slaved, so that’s good. He didn’t complain at all during those 4 hours of shopping. So I happily got myself an awesome pair of jeans, a shirt and a cardigan. (That’s all?)
I always give myself reasons to shopping. Like, this time, my reason for shopping was I wanted to add more clothes in preparation for colllege/uni so I won’t repeat the same outfit in the same week. That’d be embarrassing. Or wearing the same shoes for 3 days in a row. Call me a spoil or whatever, but I don’t like doing that; wearing the same bag over and over again, OMG. It’s so embarrassing. And not to mention, boring. So, I’ll be going for another shopping trip to find myself some handbags and shoes. Yeay!
Oh, about college. I got my acceptance letter into The One Academy, this evening, after I got back from hanging out with some friends. I was pleased but not that excited since I got an interview to get into UiTM in Art and Design. So, double yeay! On the downside, I have to come up with a new portfolio because TOA won’t return my portfolio since I got accepted. The interview is on this Saturday and I’m positive that I’ll do good at it. 
I’m not overconfident, though. It’s bad. Anyway, Since I have to work on my portfolio, I don’t think I would have the time to submit my postcard for Pipit’s Love Postcard project. I’ve already made one, though. And I may include that in my portfolio too.
Me: Mum, if I get into Uitm, can I get an iMac?
Mum: yeah, sure. Rather than paying RM25k per year for your education.
Me: oh, coolio! Can I get other cool stuffs as well?
Mum: Of course.
Me: sweeeet! 
hm… I think I want a DSLR as well.

Yep, spending (your own) money is really quite a painful thing to do. -_- That’s why I’m so thrifty, hehe, I make my own stuff whenever/wherever I can — 99% of the time it’ll be cheaper than buying something siap, and 100% of the time I’ll be way more satisfied and happy. :D
Anyway, wanted to let you know that I’ve been through that interview. XD For Faculty of Art and Design, UiTM. If I didn’t get this scholarship to do Architecture I would be taking a Diploma in Industrial Design (seriously. In campus Kedah! D=) under UiTM. Points about the interview… well, lotsa waiting, ramai orang, don’t worry too much about the “exams/tests” (the interviewer tengok sekali pandang je) but do try your best and don’t be intimidated by the others. ^^ In my case the interviewers were stupidly jakun-ed by my SPM results (and I don’t mean to brag at all, honest, it’s just I’m guessing that not many Science stream students end up in the Art n Design faculty) and asked stupid questions like what kind of nasi I eat. =T
You gotta choose your area of diploma beforehand though (Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Fine Art, Printing, Textile Design, etc.), coz they ask in the borang, and keep in mind the campuses are all over the place. (Eg, graphic design ade kat Melaka campus, and a few other campuses. While other courses kat tempat lain.)
Andd… they may also curi some of your portfolio pieces, but I guess you won’t mind. :) Good luck, too!

Oh, thanks Aneesah. now that you told me about the interview, kinda cuak sikit. heheh. but… long wait? sheesh. I could die out of it. I hate waiting. and, I wonder what was your answer to that silly question. I’d say I eat white rice. haha. Or maybe they are just being silly because you got straight As but you applied for A&D. haha.

Oh, the guy was like, “Makan nasi ape? Basmathi eh?” and I was just, “Ha? =| Oh, ah.. takdelah.” and then there were some other questions… But yeah, they were just joking and looking over the drawings.
They’re just gonna ask typical questions anyway, like why you chose the course, how many siblings you have, your parents’ jobs, etc. :P Don’t worry too much!

I love shopping as well. I tend to shop every weekend which results in my wallet being empty. Ugh. I can’t help it. I know what you mean though, I would hate to repeat outfits in the same week. I have no idea why I’m so materialistic. Everyone tends to think I’m spoiled. I need some new handbags.

Aisyah! Thanks for blogging about shopping - everyone is so afraid of being painted in badlight when they blog something about shopping sprees and etc, I’m glad that you did thta! It’ve been ages since I last read a post like that
Personally I think there’s completely NOTHING wrong with writing about shopping trips. Everyone needs retail therapy from time to time. The most important thing is that you are aware that you’re shopping and it costs you, so you will not overspend or max out your credit card (if you have any). You’ve acknowledged that you’ve spent quite a lot in two days, that’s good! You’re aware of your spending. Some don’t even care how much they spend - now that’s the real danger behind materlistic pursuit. You’re doing perfectly fine, don’t worry
it’s not as if you’re bragging about getting a Prada shoes and a Hermes scarf and in the end it is revealed that they aren’t yours (that’s why some bloggers get flamed - they are bragging about their wealth but in the end, they’re just faking).
It’s so sweet of Gary to voluntary subject himself to your slavery! Aww!
Anyway, congratulations for being accepted by TOA! It’s a really great academy… you’re definitely do well for your interview! Speaking of which, the portfolio thing, don’t worry, you can churn out a perfect one whenever you wish… look at your designs! They’re just so inspiring :))
P.S. I live very close to Sunway Pyramid! It’s just a 10-min walk away, haha! I thought of working at Starbucks over there but it turned out that they need me to work for at least 6 months (which I can’t - university starts in August).

Hey, you might end up at the same place with my sister. She’s doing Fine Art in UiTM Sri Iskandar, Perak. My sister almost missed out the interview as she wasn’t notified earlier and her name wasn’t even listed on the website. (Blame the administration 
) On the interview day itself, the interviewer called her up and asked her whether she’s coming or not. Luckily, the place wasn’t that far and she turned out to be the last person to be interviewed.
She said that the interview wasn’t really a formal one. It’s more like borak-borak kosong or something. I dunno. That was what she told me. And you might be asked to draw something. Lol.

Ooh! I know what you mean about the love/hate relationship with shopping! Same goes for me too!! Hehe about what you bought, though. I’ve gone shopping for hours too, and sometimes, I wouldn’t buy anything.
But yes, I know what you mean about not repeating the same outfit in the same week, but as for shoes and such? Haha, I guess I’m really poor because I tend to have the same shoes/handbags every day. Hahah… But yeah, it’s fine with me, though.

but please of please be certain of your area of interest (textile, fine arts, fashion, bla bla bla…) because the interviewer will question you beforehand.
