Trip to NA Gallery
Yesterday, on July 30th, 2008, our class had a field trip to Balai Seni Lukis (National Art Gallery). We arrived there by bus, 15 minutes before 10am. Everyone was there, except for Stezon. The trip was accompanied by Design class lecturer, Wei Meng, who is also our class administrator. So, there was a total of 22 participants.
LOL. Why am I writing this like somekind of official report?
I’m not going to say much as I don’t want to spend so much time on typing the words due to my usual excuse, that is, L-A-Z-Y-NESS. So… just enjoy the pictures. After all, Confucius said, one picture equals to 1k words (was it really Confucius? hahah). I apologize for the crappyness of some of the pictures. Some pictures are blurry. I’m not a pro photographer. I’m quite slow when it comes to operating the camera. hahah.

Honestly, I didn’t notice the people on the roof top when I was snapping this picture

Cans.

For this series of batik, (yes, they are actually Batik), me and my classmate, Daniel figured out what it meant.

kissable lips. hoho

from left: Fion, me (aisyah), JC, William
Hmm.. berbakat juga I ni in photography. HAHAHAH.
The trip turned out to be enjoyable. I thought it was going to be boring. haha. So, it was much, much better than I expected. I learned a lot, like art isn’t just about beauty but there is so much more to it. Actually, there is a lot more that I want to share, but maybe I’ll post a specific entry on that.
p.s, I don’t dare to put too many pictures of the artworks because cameras were not allowed in some sections of the gallery (copyright reasons), but, oh well. *shrugs*
p.p.s, I still haven’t got the interesting photos from the lecturer and my classmates. *sigh*

loves those artworks.
aisyah, care to create such art, for us (readers)? hehehe.
your trip reminds me of my first field trip: we went to a very hot, wide, stony, dusty and out of nowhere Outcrop (geology term). i got my self a round neck t-shirt sunburn. aduhs.
and, while you were having fun with the beauties of the artworks, i having fun with analyzing rocks and structure of the outcrop. hahaha. we do have a lot of photos posing at the outcrop.

Hey Aisyah, thanks for sharing the photos you’ve taken along the trip :) I love visiting art galleries and exhibitions because these are the places that give me the most inspiration and ideas. It’s surprising that they allowed you to bring cameras in, because when I went to some exhibitions in Singapore, they actually search you for recording devices… 8-)
For the last photo, I like that piece of art in the background with comprises of three separate canvas :D reminds me of my friend’s art project, lol. Anyway, you’re looking so energetic and cheerful!
p/s: Congratulations! NH picked your blog as one of the ten sites he frequently haunts
that just speaks so much about the quality of your content and your design skills!

Hello Aisyah!
How’s college been treating you? I’ve been stalking your blog for quite some time. Hehe.. Been busy with exams lately.
Those are great-looking arts! I’ve never been there though. In my first year, I had this subject called “Art in Medicine”. I guess everything that pertains in our life deals with art as well.
p.s. 30th july? bukan 30th june ke? Hehe..
