When Aida meets Fad

I don’t know whether I should post this or not. Because I feel guilty that I made Fad give me the pictures ASAP. He was a little unwell and he was doing that for me despite the headache he had. I think he still has it as I’m posting this. He is so so sweet. 
(Well, I could always delete this post. 
) *munching on a mars bar*
Yesterday, I went out with Fad and I brought Aida along. (Aida is my 6 years old sister) She is not much of a friendly kid. But she’s fun to be with once SHE gets used to you. When she entered the car, she stared at Fad. She just stared. And you know how stares are, they can be scary.

If you can see a bruise under her left eye, it wasn’t me. My brother accidentally hit her with a ping pong bat. Ouch!
OK, fine, coming from a 6-year-old girl doesn’t make the stare scary. It’s the fact that she does not respond anything to what people say that disappoints me because she is actually a funny person. No matter how funny things happen, when she’s around unfamiliar people, she just had to have that empty, expressionless face. No laugh, no talk, nothing. She doesn’t even respond to what I say and I have to repeat what I say over and over again and whisper to her so she could whisper back her answer.*sigh*
We were actually going to MidValley to get Fad another hamster. But, before that, we went to KL central for an education exhibition. It was, well, quite crowded.The fact that it was held at KL central is…. odd? Why the hell would you want to organise an exhibition in a train station? What, konon macam lain dari yang lain? LOL. The exhibition was OK. (A lil’ boring?) After collecting the brochures, we were off to Midvalley. 
yay!!
Nayh, actually, I don’t really like Midvalley and I’ll get on that later. *mars bar*
Before we went into the Pets World, I met Ikram of Ikram-Zidane.com. We chatted for a few minutes. Well, it was our first time meeting.
Luckily, I remembered to ask for a photo. so, here it is.

See the people behind us? They are the reason why I don’t like Midvalley. Scary kids. 
Then, we had to meet the hamsters in the pets world. *mars bars*
Aida was REALLY excited to see the hamsters and cats. Those are her favourite animals. She was running back and forth to see the hamsters and then back to the cats. She loved the birds too. She asked me a lot of questions about the animals. Aida and I would really REALLY love to have hamsters for pets but my dad has fears for rats, mice and hamsters. So, he won’t allow us to keep such pets at home. He doesn’t even like cats. Well, here’s the secret. I wish there is such a rehab to help people overcome weird fears. Seriously, pfft! What harm could hamsters give you? You can’t even feel the pain if they ever bite you.
Me: Dad, how about…. if you overcome you fears? 
Dad: I don’t need to. When my family is in danger, then only I’ll overcome my fears.
Me: -__-”
So he knows that hamsters bring no harm. Yet, he still has fears for them. Pity him.
Ok, so back to yesterday. *mars bar* After the Pet World, we went to Sushi King. He still hasn’t got the hamsters, tho. Aida and I were starving and she was asking to eat at Sushi King. Last time I dined at sushi king was… a month ago so I just had to eat some sushi. Aida, as usual, she gets all excited whenever she eats at Sushi King. She becomes loud and hyper. (really!) She just love to pick the sushi on the belt. And she went for another. Then another. Then, another. She took 4 plates all together! But she didn’t eat them all. She just ate the Inari and left out the rice. So, it was Fad and I who ate her leftovers.
Fad is a photographer. He got this big camera one la. That…that… freaking big black camera. Most guys with digital SLR always look cool. yes, I dig guys with big equipments. And I think most girls do. 
So, anyways, we snapped a lot of pictures in the restaurant even though cameras were not allowed. 
I think the waiters didn’t have the guts to tell us to stop because Fad’s camera is so huge that they think he might use it to smack their faces. He didn’t use flash tho, to be considerate to others. So, according to him, the pictures aren’t so great. But I think they are great enough. 
Aida gets all excited. See, the lighting ‘coming out’ of Aida’s nose? It looks like…. HAHAHA! I can’t.help.myself. ROFL! (poor Aida)

Fad, Aisyah and Aida.
Aida doesn’t like being snapped (or that she is just malu-malu kucing) that much so whenever Fad tried to capture her picture, she hid under the table. She didn’t say anything about how she didn’t like being snapped or showed that she was mad. All she had was that empty stare.
Look at her, she was actually enjoying it like it was a hide-and-seek. 
So, in the end, Fad and Aida got along quite well. And I think Aida secretly likes him. Back home, she asked me for his name.
This picture is for illustration only. They haven’t quite get along yet when this picture was snapped but almost there.
We had a great day yesterday. And oh, poor Fad, he didn’t get his hamster.

Ikram looks like a mess. LOL! I wouldn’t recognize him quick enough if I walked passed him.
As for the camera, I never knew Sushi King doesn’t allow them. Hmm, maybe they’re worried of bloggers talking bad about them. *shrug*

I love Japanese food but not sushi.. I prefer stuff like tepayanki, yakiniku, teriyaki, etc etc. There are many Japanese restaurants here in Jakarta!

I can see how that would be a scary kind of stare - even if it is from a six year old. I like hamsters though - lucky her getting a new one :) And sorry your dad has a weird fear of them :(
