Sketches!
Last Friday, we had a Figure Studies class. We learned that Michelangelo was gay. HAHAHA. Not that there’s anything wrong with being gay but it does explain a lot about his paintings. 
Anyways, I just want to show you some my latest figure sketchings. I’m actually quite embarrassed.

Okay, the beard guy above isn’t the latest. It’s quite old, in fact. This was done on the 8th of August. It was a test, actually. Took me almost 4 hours, if I’m not mistaken. There are quite a few sketches that I did after this beard guy, but.. hm.. I didn’t put much effort into doing them. Probably it was the time factor. and the stress cause there were a lot of assignments to be done at that time.
The sketches that I did during the holidays are not good either. Probably because I simply did them without putting much effort. But most of all, I think it’s because I didn’t do any sketches for 2 weeks, and therefore, my skills were deteriorating. =\ Although, I do admit after 3 sketches, it got better. Thankfully. :D

Above is the sketch I did yesterday. It’s not too bad I guess. I used an advertisement found on Cleo as the reference. (A3)

And this is the sketch I did an hour ago (A3 size). It’s not bad, I guess.
I still have a lot of room to improve.
Next on my to-do list: Creating a Superhero character. woohoo!

er… depends. but yeah, it’s possible. a huge wacom would make it easier. although, i doubt that illustrator can do this. maybe it can, but it’s hard and it will produce a totally different style.

Your shading skills are awesome! Please forgive me for my utter lack of knowledge in hard drawn art (I’m not really into them, so I don’t know the technical jargons haha!), but I think your shading skills are perfect! My brother started learning how to share a year ago and now he’s still telling me that he hasn’t even mastered 20% of it :)) you’re talented!
